WaardeRing is a sustainable partner organisation which are active in Zwolle. They focus on using residual product flows from thriftshop and consumers and turn them within their network, into new functional products. I was drawn to this assignment because I was interested in the vast network they have in Zwolle and how they go about dealing with sustainability. I took on the assigment because I want to grow my own network, and to get more experience going trough the designflow on my own. In the end I ended up with a decent product, which they can use to promote themselves on events.
The suitcase which we bought in a thriftshop is now outfitted with some swinging clipboards where the organisation can hang some posters on. The central piece is a custom made R-ladder which is used to determine how products are made and post-processed. On the side in the lid of the suitcase are shelves which are attached with belts, which came from a textile recycling and sorting centre. On the back I attached some straps to be able to carry the suitcase more easily.
